At Leaping Toads Nursery, safeguarding is a top priority. All staff receive regular training and understand their responsibility to recognize and report any concerns.

We follow clear procedures in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and our local safeguarding partnership guidance.
Safer Recruitment and Procedures
We follow robust safer recruitment processes, carry out appropriate suitability checks, and ensure all staff hold enhanced DBS clearances.
Our team also follows strict guidance on the safe use of mobile phones and cameras within the setting, ensuring children's privacy and safety at all times.
Our Duty of Care
If we ever have concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing, we have a duty to share information with relevant agencies to help keep children safe.
If you have any concerns about a child's welfare, you can speak in confidence to our Designated Safeguarding Lead.
All Our Staff Are Trained in Safeguarding
Have undertaken Child Protection training, including Prevent and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) awareness
Trained to recognise and identify signs of abuse and neglect

Complete regular refresher training
Undergo robust safer recruitment checks and hold enhanced DBS (criminal record) checks
