Flexible childcare for every family

We offer a variety of booking patterns for families needing flexible childcare. We accept all government childcare funding schemes - including 15 and 30 funded hours, Tax-Free Childcare, and Universal Credit childcare support.
Whether you need full days, half days, or a mixture of both, we'll work with you to create a schedule that fits your family's needs.
Nursery fees
We offer both privately paid sessions at the rates below, as well as government-funded sessions.
If you receive funded hours, you can add additional paid sessions to create a full-time nursery place. All sessions are subject to availability and Early Bird sessions are available upon request.

Government-Funded Sessions
If your child is eligible for government-funded childcare, those hours are completely free and cover your child's care and early education.
Government funding however does not include meals and snacks during the session.
Many families choose our freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks and drinks so that children enjoy a consistent, high quality experience as well as for parental convenience.
A small daily charge applies when these are provided by the nursery and this is separate from your funded entitlement:

Other Extras
For both privately paid and government-funded sessions:

Parents to provide nappies, wipes, suncream, etc.

Occasional trips or special outings may involve an additional cost. We will always let families know in advance, and these are always optional.
Registration & Deposit
For privately paid sessions:
A one-off registration fee and a refundable deposit are required to secure your child’s place.This helps us manage administration and guarantee your child's space.
For government-funded only sessions:
No registration fee or deposit is required to access a funded place.

Funded Childcare Explained
There are several government schemes designed to help families with childcare costs.
We offer all available funded childcare options at Leaping Toads Nursery
and can help you understand what support you may be eligible for:
30 Hours Free Childcare
for children aged 9 months to 4 years
For working families
Eligible working parents can access up to 30 hours of free childcare per week. You must apply via the Childcare Choices portal and meet income requirements.
3 and 4 year old Funding
All 3 & 4 year olds
All children automatically get 15 hours of free childcare from the term starting after their third birthday. This is available to all parents, regardless of income, work or immigration status.
2 Year Old Funding
Eligible 2 year olds
Some 2 year olds from lower-income families or those with additional needs may be entitled to 15 hours of free early education.

These schemes can often be used alongside funded hours, depending on your situation:
Tax-Free Childcare
The government pays 20% towards childcare costs (up to £2,000 per child per year, £4,000 if disabled). For more information, visit www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare.
Universal Credit Childcare Support

Support for Parents who are Studying
Care to Learn: If you are studying and aged under 20 at the start of your course. Visit nhsbsa.nhs.uk
Learner Support: If you're aged 19 or over, on a further education course and facing financial hardship. Visit gov.uk/learner-support
Childcare Grant from Student Finance England: Some learners studying using student finance will be eligible for the scheme's Childcare Grant, which can cover up to 85% of your childcare costs and does not have to be paid back. Visit gov.uk/childcare-grant
Childcare Allowance from NHS Student Bursary: If you receive an NHS Student bursary, you may be eligible for the scheme's Childcare Allowance. Visit nhsbsa.nhs.uk
